Unrequited

I live in a state of unrequited lust

A cruel country

Ruled by an autocratic tyrant

The heart

A bloody dictator

I am spurned and rejected

Regularly

The heart keeps sending me back

Hopefully

To the mysterious world of cross gender communication

That place of considerable gap

The Colorado of my affections

Grinds deeper into the bedrock

As time erodes the canyon

Of my mind
