It was a moment
Just another moment
On a regular day
It must have been this moment
Cuz’ they’re all the same
It must have been this moment
Cuz’ it’s when I saw you
And that moment
That moment that I saw you
Wasn’t just the same
Our eyes locked, when you saw me
Our eyes locked as I looked at you
Our eyes shone as something new
Blew away the cobwebs
Blew away the past
And even though there was lots of folks
Around us, moving here and there
It was concentrated
Just you and me
As we gazed and looked
Into each other’s eyes
And sighed a thousand sighs
Said hello, goodbye
Even as we recognized
A synchronicity of mind
But we left that all behind
Returning to today
Leaving adventures untried
Questions never sprung
Goodbye before it’s done
It’s done

Beautiful yet, sad! 😞
Thank you. I try to live with as much joy as possible, as a novice stoic, but some of the poetry taps into different currents.
I think I can relate to that, David. Though sad, it’s really beautiful! Thanks for sharing 😄
