Cut

Her face betrayed her

Looking across the table

Troubled

Doubled

Disbelief

WTF

Is this shit now?

Great sense of timing

Idjit

Do you have any idea of what you’ve said?

Pathetic

A glass of water on the table

Quite nice, a beautiful wineglass

Good for a dramatic gesture

Go big or go home she remembers

A voice says

Inside

She does, and in slow motion

How she remembers it

Irrevocably

Lifts the glass

Bounces it in the palm of her hand

Once, and the water splashes

Twice, and she flings it across the table

Drenching

That smirk for once

Drowning

That ember of twisted desire

With relish

Choosing the path

Starting forward
