Disembodied voices
Talking back and forth
Don’t ever really know you
But that’s not the point
We intersect ideas
Toss the ball back and forth
We come from the south
We come from the north
We hook up on Facebook
And chat back and forth
Post comments with innuendo
And flirt shamelessly
We’re disembodied voices
Talking back and forth
Don’t ever really know you
But that’s not the point
We strip away the pretense
Pull back the veil
Stand naked at the window
It’s all revealed
We’re disembodied voices
Talking back and forth
Don’t ever really know you
But that’s not the point
So I keep on posting everything
That comes into my mind
Just waiting for the hook that might
Reach out and make you mine
We’re disembodied voices
Talking back and forth
Don’t ever really know you
But that’s not the point

David, this is fantastic–love the tone of this. Does anyone ever really know a person, either encountered electronically or face to face, initially anyway? Great poem/song.
