There is a long horizon
Under the waxing moon
Pale rising
Over the city beneath me
Where
Amber lit avenues
Gridscape through the trees
Ten thousand points of light
Prick the darkening gloom
While I search that long horizon
For a straight line
To you

David–another gorgeous poem.
Thanks. I have a beautiful hilltop view of the city a few minutes walk away, and when the lights come on at dusk it’s inspiring. And so of course is imagining what’s over the horizon, and trying to point myself in a particular direction.

I like this one very much David Trudel, especially “Amber lit avenues gridscape through the trees.” #WoW
That’s quite magnificent.
Thank you Shafiqah and Seb. I appreciate your comments!
