Binary Code

It isn’t always black and white

It isn’t absolutely wrong or right

Binary thinkers get it so wrong

It isn’t just yes and no

Open and shut

In or out

Reality is so much more complex

There’s a lot of space between the lines

Space that gets pretty cloudy now and then

Gray and shadowy

And there are other numerals besides zero and one

Waiting to be factored in

So look for inspiration in the compromise of the unjudged

Where angels dance en pointe

And in the anarchy of a freed mind

Moving between ideas like butterflies on a honeysuckle vine

Without getting hung up on them
